Car/Motorcycle shipping

Vehicle shipping is where it all started more than 20 years ago... It's what we do! We handle vehicle inspections, export documentation, loading and unloading, insurance, customs, MPI clearances and all documentation for vehicle registration and VIN.

Trans America Shipping specialise in damage free loading/unloading and shipping, with classic and collectable cars being our specialty.

We can arrange internal transportation, anywhere in the USA to the port, with our insured and bonded carriers.

Shipping a Car/Motorcycle Checklist:

  • Check the eligibility to import under the New Zealand Transport Agency's vehicle import standards on the NZTA website
  • Documents
    • Proof of ownership (also known as Bill of Sale)
    • Title for vehicle - this must match the VIN tag on the vehicle
    • Suitable Identification - A copy of a current passport is preferred, sometimes a Drivers Licence will suffice

We have licenced and bonded transport companies we work with that can transport your purchase from anywhere in the United States to our warehouse in LA.

We have trustworthy, experienced contacts in California that can inspect vehicles and/or transport them to our warehouse in LA. Our team are very reliable Kiwis that know how the NZ law works, so they know what to look for when inspecting a vehicle. They could potentially save you thousands of dollars by a simple inspection and are happy to negotiate the sale price on your behalf which can further save you money, often more than their fee!
